A step-by-step guide on integrating dynamic components in vue-class-component

After successfully using vue-class-component in my project, I decided to introduce a new component for production only:

import store from '../store/Index'
let storeTmp = process.env.NODE_ENV === 'production' ? store : null
@Component({
    components: {
        vue2Dropzone
    },
    vuetify,
    storeTmp
})

However, upon implementation, I encountered the following error:

Argument of type '{ components: { vue2Dropzone: any }; vuetify: Vuetify; storeTmp: Store<...> | null; }' is not assignable to parameter of type 'VueClass'.   Object literal may only specify known properties, but 'components' does not exist in type 'VueClass'. Did you mean to write 'component'?

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Answer №1

Perhaps

@Component({
    components: {
        vue2Dropzone
    },
    vuetify,
    store: stateData
})

Do you think so?

There isn't a property called stateData in the Vue instance, only store.

Answer №2

Utilize the computed property for dynamically loading components based on certain conditions.

Within your template:

<component v-bind:is="importComponent" :anyPropsYouWantToPas="props" />

In the Computed section:

importComponent() {
    if (process.env.NODE_ENV === 'production) {
        return () => import(`@/components/app/componentpath`)
    }
},
