However, in the second tutorial of the course, they mentioned that they will be using Typescript instead of JavaScript. I have no prior knowledge of Typescript. Should I reconsider my choice of course and find another one? Is knowledge of Typescript essential for mastering Angular?
After working with Typescript for the past six months, I have come to appreciate its power and capabilities. It's hard to imagine tackling a large project in plain JavaScript without the benefits of strong typings.
If you already know JavaScript, transitioning to Typescript should be relatively painless since Typescript ultimately compiles down to pure JavaScript. Plus, Typescript includes most of the latest features that JavaScript has to offer.
