Encountering an issue while defining a parameter in an Angular component: expecting either a property

Encountering an issue when attempting to set a parameter involving numbers first, as required by openweathermap's API. Specifically, the data retrieval for rain is labeled as '3h', thus requiring me to input 'data.rain.3h'. However, it seems to be malfunctioning.

rain: {
    3h: number;
}

Answer №1

This error is specific to Javascript and not Angular.

To properly utilize the object, follow this syntax:

rain: {
    "3h": number;
}

Make sure to include the quotemark as shown.

When accessing the data, use: data.rain['3h']
