Encountering an issue with importing typeDefs in Apollo Server (Typescript) from an external file

I decided to move the typeDefs into a separate file written in typescript and then compiled into another file.

Upon doing so, I encountered the following error:

Upon reviewing your code and comparing it to the Getting Started guide for Apollo Server v4 on Apollo Docs, I noticed that they share similarities. One discrepancy I found was in your server.ts file where you are importing a javascript file (./graphql/schema) into a typescript file.

After examining your tsconfig.json file, I came across this article. To address this issue, you may consider adding the allowJs option and setting it to true within tsconfig.json if you intend to keep the schema file as a javascript file.
