Idea fails to detect imports

I have been attempting to use Angular2 in IntelliJ IDEA IDE.

Although my code is valid (I have tried compiling and executing it), the IDE keeps showing me this error: https://i.stack.imgur.com/w6wIj.jpg

Is there a way to configure IntelliJ IDEA to hide these errors?

One important detail was overlooked in your code: you forgot to specify what exactly you want to import from 'rxjs/add/operator/switchMap' and also missed adding the 'from' keyword.

Here is the necessary modification:

import {switchMap} from 'rxjs/add/operator/switchMap'

Alternatively, you can try it this way:

import * as switchMap from 'rxjs/add/operator/switchMap'
