"Seeking guidance on getting my carousel functionality up and running in Angular 8 - any

I tried implementing a carousel from the Bootstrap 4 documentation, but it is only displaying one image. How can I modify the carousel to show all images? I am new to using Angular.

Below is the code I have:

<div class=" bg-success text-white py-5 text-center">
    <h1 >header</h1>
</div>
  <div id="carouselExampleIndicators" class="carousel slide" data-ride="carousel">
    <ol class="carousel-indicators">
      <li data-target="#carouselExampleIndicators" data-slide-to="0" class="active"></li>
      <li data-target="#carouselExampleIndicators" data-slide-to="1"></li>
      <li data-target="#carouselExampleIndicators" data-slide-to="2"></li>
    </ol>
    <div>
    <div class="carousel-inner">
      <div class="carousel-item active">
        <img class="d-block w-100" src="./assets/images/leadlogic_1.jpg" alt="First slide">
      </div>
      <div class="carousel-item">
        <img class="d-block w-100" src="./assets/images/leadlogic_2.jpg" alt="Second slide">
      </div>
      <div class="carousel-item">
        <img class="d-block w-100" src="./assets/images/leadlogic_3.jpg" alt="Third slide">
      </div>
    </div>
    <a class="carousel-control-prev" href="#carouselExampleIndicators" role="button" data-slide="prev">
      <span class="carousel-control-prev-icon" aria-hidden="true"></span>
      <span class="sr-only">Previous</span>
    </a>
    <a class="carousel-control-next" href="#carouselExampleIndicators" role="button" data-slide="next">
      <span class="carousel-control-next-icon" aria-hidden="true"></span>
      <span class="sr-only">Next</span>
    </a>
  </div>
</div>

Check out the Carousel Component from ngx-bootstrap:

Answer №2

To successfully implement the bootstrap carousel in your Angular project, follow the steps outlined below:

Begin by installing the necessary dependencies:

npm i bootstrap
npm i jquery
npm i <a href="/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection" class="__cf_email__" data-cfemail="71011e010114035f1b0231405f5f40455f42">[email protected]</a>

After installation, include the CSS and JS files in your angular.json file.

In the styles section, add bootstrap.min.css

"styles": [
  "./node_modules/bootstrap/dist/css/bootstrap.min.css",
  "src/styles.css"
]

In the scripts section, include the jquery, bootstrap, and popper JS files.

"scripts": [
  "./node_modules/jquery/dist/jquery.min.js",
  "./node_modules/bootstrap/dist/js/bootstrap.min.js",
  "./node_modules/popper.js/dist/umd/popper.min.js"
]

Now you can add the bootstrap carousel to your template file. Remember to change data-slide-to="0" to [attr.data-slide-to]="0"

Answer №3

If you want to reduce your code, consider using ngb-carousel

To install ngx-bootstrap, use the following command

npm install --save @ng-bootstrap/ng-bootstrap

Make sure to import ng-bootstrap in your module.ts file

import {NgbModule} from '@ng-bootstrap/ng-bootstrap';

Then, add the HTML code below

    <ngb-carousel *ngIf="cars">
          <div *ngFor="let item of cars">
              <ng-template  ngbSlide>
                  <div class="picsum-img-wrapper">
                      <img [src]="item"  alt="Random first slide" class="mh-100" style="width: 100%; height: 35vh">
                  </div>
              </ng-template>
          </div>
    </ngb-carousel>
