Suppose I define a specific type:
type SomeType = 'a' | 'b' | 'c'
Is there a TypeScript function available that can calculate the number of unique values a variable of type SomeType can hold?
assertEq(countUniqueValues(SomeType), 3)

Typescript types are exclusive to your IDE/compiler and do not actually exist in the runtime of your code.
This means that you cannot directly interact with or iterate over the type itself.
One workaround is to create a constant array and derive a type from it:
const Options = ['x', 'y', 'z'] as const;
type SomeType = typeof Options[number];
Afterwards, you can simply reference Options.length
in your implementation.
I need to replace the content of array1 with the content of another array2 while keeping the same references and indexes in array1: let array1 = [ { book : { id : 2, authorId : 3} } , { book : { id : 3, authorId : 3} }, { book : { id : 4, authorId : ...
