Is there a way to adjust the width of the signature pad dynamically?
<signature-pad class="signature w-50-p" id="sign_canvas" fxFlexAlign.xs="center"></signature-pad>
Here is the code snippet for implementing a signature pad in Angular:
<signature-pad fxFlex="1 1 50" (window:resize)="resizeSignaturePad()"
class="signature"
id="sign_canvas" fxFlexAlign.xs="center"></signature-pad>
Make sure to include the following function in your TypeScript file:
resizeSignaturePad() {
this.signaturePad.set('canvasWidth', document.getElementById("sign_canvas").offsetWidth);
this.signaturePad.clear();
}
Today, I successfully implemented this solution with Angular 11. Drawing from Markomar's approach, I was able to overcome a frustrating obstacle by manually setting the canvas size using the queryPad() method due to an unexpected underscore issue. By utilizing a template variable (#form) on a preferred element for sizing and opting for AfterViewInit over OnInit, I ensured proper initialization.
@ViewChild('form') formElement: ElementRef;
resizeCanvas() {
this.signature.queryPad()._canvas.width = this.formElement?.nativeElement.offsetWidth;
}
ngAfterViewInit(): void { this.resizeCanvas(); }
Give this a shot
Here's what you can do in your TypeScript file:
@ViewChild('signatureDiv') signatureDiv: ElementRef;
@HostListener('window:resize', ['$event'])
onResize(event) {
this.adjustSignatureCanvasSize(); //adjust the size of the canvas when the screen is resized
}
ngAfterViewInit() {
this.adjustSignatureCanvasSize(); //adjust the size of the canvas for different screen sizes
}
adjustSignatureCanvasSize() {
//handle the resizing of signature pad canvas on resizing screen
const canvas = document.querySelector("canvas");
const tempWidth = String(this.signatureDiv.nativeElement.clientWidth);
const widthCanvas = tempWidth.concat("px");
canvas.setAttribute("width", widthCanvas);
}
In your HTML file, add the following reference:
<div class="signature-container" #signatureDiv align="center">
<signature-pad [options]="signaturePadOptions" (onEndEvent)="drawComplete()">
</signature-pad>
</div>
Here is a suggestion to consider:
input id="signatureOne" ng-model="signatureOne"></input>
<input id="signatureTwo" ng-model="signatureTwo
