typescript TypeScript interface utilizing keys from another interface

So I've got 2 TypeScript interfaces here:

interface IObject1 {
  propOne: string,
  propTwo: string,
  ...
}

interface IObject2 {
  'some.prefix.propOne': string,
  'some.prefix.propTwo': string,
  ...
}

Is there a more concise method to generate IObject2 based on IObject1?

Answer №1

I'm interested in understanding the specific scenario in which you plan to use this feature and the reasoning behind wanting properties with a prefix.

Alternatively, you could simply utilize the extends keyword, like so:

interface IObject2 extends IObject1 {
     // propOne and propTwo are accessible without needing to be redeclared
}
