Unable to connect with the 'formControl' as it is not a recognized attribute of the 'select' element

I am trying to create a simple select element with values from an enumerated list. You can check out the demo for this on Stackblitz here.

I copied the code directly from another project which had a working stackblitz implementation and encountered the following error:

Template parse errors: Can't bind to 'formControl' since it isn't a known property of 'select'. ("][formControl]="control"> {{filter}"):

Make sure to add ReactiveFormsModule to the list of imports in your app.module.ts. The current imports array is missing this essential module:

imports: [ BrowserModule, FormsModule ]
