Upgrading the import package alias from 'angular2' to '@angular'

Is there a way to update the package alias for import purposes? I am trying to utilize ng2-bootstrap, which requires @angular/core, but I have been referencing it as angular2/core. This mismatch is causing my screen to crash!

Answer №1

Starting from Angular 2.0.0-rc.0, the dependencies are now in the new format "@angular/" instead of the old "angular2/" format. If you wish to switch back to the old format, all you need to do is update the dependencies in your package.json file to the specific version of Angular 2 you prefer.

"dependencies": {
    "angular2: "2.0.0-beta.17"
}

Angular 2.0.0-beta.17 is the most recent version that still uses the older angular dependency structure.
