Using RxJS 5.5 to create a pipeline that listens for file system

Struggling to implement directory reading using rxjs-style, any suggestions?

import { readdir } from 'fs';
import { bindNodeCallback } from 'rxjs/observable/bindNodeCallback';
import { tap } from 'rxjs/operators';

function test() {

  bindNodeCallback(readdir).pipe(
    tap((x: any) => console.log(x))
  ).subscribe();
}

test();

Encountering issues with pipelining bindNodeCallback, any insights?

In order to read a specific directory, you must pass the directory's name somehow. When using bindNodeCallback with readdir, you will need to follow a structure like this:

bindNodeCallback(readdir)(dirName).pipe(....)

Here, dirName is a string that holds the name of the directory you intend to read.
