Utilize Angular Value Input: Divide Array List into Individual Items with the Help of a Line Break

I am facing an issue with splitting a list of items using different delimiters. While semicolons work fine, newline characters are causing problems. How can I modify this to make it work with new lines and display line breaks?

Working solution:

[value]="productList.join('; ')"

Non-functional attempts:

[value]="productList.join('\n ')"
[value]="productList.join('\r ')"
[value]="productList.join('\n\r ')"

My current setup involves Angular 8 with Typescript.

Answer №1

Make sure to implement the necessary changes by defining a CSS rule that includes white-space property

HTML:

[value]="productList.join('\n ')"

CSS:

.newClass{
  white-space: pre !important;
}
