VScode's editor has been displaying incorrect Intellisense suggestions for Javascript

While working with Javascript, I am using Intellisense but it keeps showing me Typescript interface options. Is there a way to disable these and only see Javascript options?

If you need more context, check out this screenshot.

Answer №1

Those instances are regular DOM objects. If you want to deactivate them, simply create a jsconfig.json file at the root of your workspace containing only the standard es6 type definitions:

{
    "compilerOptions": {
        "lib": ["es6"]
    }
}

However, there was also an issue in VSCode version <=1.13 that resulted in interface suggestions appearing in js files: https://github.com/Microsoft/TypeScript/issues/15750

This problem should be resolved in VSCode 1.14 and above. Please inform us if you continue to encounter this problem: https://github.com/Microsoft/vscode/issues/new
