WebStorm displays all imported items as unused in a TypeScript backend project

https://i.stack.imgur.com/J0yZw.png It appears that the image does not display correctly for files with a .ts extension. Additionally, in .tsx files, it still does not work.

In other projects using WebStorm, everything works fine, but those projects are only written in .js and .jsx.

I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall WebStorm twice and reset all settings to default, but unfortunately, the issue persists.

Answer №1

Have you implemented a .eslintrc.js configuration file? If not, consider adding one to help Webstorm better understand your code:

module.exports = {
parser: '@typescript-eslint/parser',
parserOptions: {
  project: 'tsconfig.json',
  sourceType: 'module',
},
plugins: ['@typescript-eslint/eslint-plugin'],
extends: [
  'plugin:@typescript-eslint/recommended',
  'prettier/@typescript-eslint',
  'plugin:prettier/recommended',
],
env: {
  node: true,
  jest: true,
},
ignorePatterns: ['.eslintrc.js'],
rules: {
  '@typescript-eslint/interface-name-prefix': 'off',
  '@typescript-eslint/explicit-function-return-type': 'off',
  '@typescript-eslint/explicit-module-boundary-types': 'off',
  '@typescript-eslint/no-explicit-any': 'off',
},
};

Ensure that TypeScript is also enabled in your preferences (refer to the image). https://i.stack.imgur.com/ZSSpV.png

Wishing you success!

An additional reset to the default settings always does the trick for me. Thanks to everyone!
