"Amplify your Angular skills by mastering the process of looping through an array

I'm attempting to post my second array and obtain the id of item() in order to create an item set with that ID. However, I am struggling to achieve this. Here is what I have tried so far, but it does not seem to work:

 postArray(){
        console.log(this.fg.value)
        this.microSvc.Post(this.fg.value)
        .subscribe((respo)=>{
          this.headerID = respo.id;
          for (const item of this.fg.value?.Info){
            item.id = this.headerID;
            console.log(item.id)
             this.microSvc.Post1(item)
             .subscribe((response)=>{
            for(const itemof this.fg.value?.SetItem){
              item.ItemId = this.detailsID
              this.microSvc.testing(serial).subscribe((res) =>{
                })
             }
              Swal.fire({
              title: 'Added Successfully!',
              icon: 'success',
              heightAuto: false,
              width: 400
             }).then((result) => {
             if (result.isConfirmed){
             }
             })
             })
             }
           })
          }

Answer №1

Avoid chaining subscribe methods within another subscribe method; instead, consider utilizing transformation and higher-order mapping operators. I recommend exploring switchMap, mergeMap, exhaustMap, and concatMap, as well as transformation operators such as forkJoin and combineLatest.

Answer №2

If you're looking to achieve a similar outcome, consider implementing Rxjs ForkJoin. By utilizing this method, you'll be able to easily subscribe to the results. You can refer to the official documentation for a more detailed explanation on how ForkJoin operates. 😁

  const observablesArray: Array<Observable<Any>> = []

    for(value in values) {
      let postMethod: Observable<any> = service.post(value)
      observablesArray.push(postMethod)
    }

    const finalResult = forkJoin(observablesArray)

    finalResult.subscribe();
