Creating an NPM package using Visual Studio 2017: A Step-by-Step Guide

I enjoy developing and publishing NPM packages using Visual Studio 2017.

My preferred method is using TypeScript to generate the JavaScript files.

Which project template would be best suited for this particular project?

While Visual Studio is not necessary to create an NPM package, it can be helpful if you decide to use it. I personally find a basic HTML page template to be the most efficient option.

When working on projects like this, I recommend using Visual Studio Code and organizing your folders and subfolders in a way that works best for you. You can also take inspiration from popular NPM projects on GitHub, such as Bootstrap, to see how others structure their code.
