Formatting code in Visual Studio 2017 for TypeScript files

When attempting to format my TypeScript Code using Ctrl+K+D, nothing seems to happen. Strangely, it works fine with all other code files. What could I be doing incorrectly?

Answer №1

Dealing with the same problem, I faced issues like missing intellisense and formatting errors. To resolve this, I navigated to:

Settings -> Configuration -> Text Editing -> JavaScript/TypeScript -> Intellisense

In that section, I had to specify the version of TypeScript being used as it was originally empty until I chose my specific version.
