Is there a way to effectively utilize getServerSideProps within components?

Is there a way to utilize getServerSideProps in components the same way it's used in pages? I'm unsure how to pass sanity data into components.

Edit: Issue resolved - turns out I was missing the props! :)

Answer №1

As per the guidance provided in the Next.Js documentation,

The method getServerSideProps is meant to be exported only from a page component, and not from any other type of file.

Therefore, it is essential to place the invocation of getServerSideProps within a page component specifically, rather than any other component. This approach allows you to incorporate getServerSideProps within a page layout, which can then pass data down to the respective components.
