The HostListener does not recognize the click event when it comes to links

Can anyone help me understand why this code needs improvement?

@HostListener('document:click', ['$event.target'])
onClck(target) {
  console.log(target);
}

It doesn't seem to be triggering on links (

Where should you place this decorator? If you're looking to track all clicks within your app, it's best to place the decorator in your main component. However, if you want to capture clicks anywhere in your browser, you can use vanilla JavaScript:

document.body.onclick = event => console.log(event);
