Unable to retrieve base64 pdf file due to network connectivity problem

I am trying to download a base64 pdf file from local storage using vue3 typescript. Here is the code snippet I'm using:
downloadPDF() {
      const linkSource = `data:application/pdf;base64,${'json.base64'}`;
      const downloadLink = document.createElement("a");
      const fileName = this.jsonFile.name + ".pdf";
      downloadLink.href = linkSource;
      downloadLink.download = fileName;
      downloadLink.click();
    },
Unfortunately, I encountered a network issue when trying to download the file.

Answer №1

It took me a while, but I finally figured out the solution.

I realized that I needed to include "this.json.base64" instead of just "json.base64" in the following line.

const linkSource = `data:application/pdf;base64,${this.json.base64}`;
