`Why are some options missing from the "New Item" feature in Visual Studio?`

Recently, I started a Cordova project using Visual Studio 2015. To my surprise, when I attempt to add a new item by right-clicking, I am presented with only a limited number of options. For example, I wanted to add a "TypeScript json config file" (known as tsconfig), but this option is nowhere to be found. It seems like there are several missing options altogether. Since this is a new computer for me, I'm wondering if I might have missed installing something crucial.

When it comes to the Add New Item dialog, Cordova projects have unique options compared to other projects such as ASP.NET. The list displayed here reflects the choices available for Cordova projects. Rest assured, your feedback will be shared with our team (I am a member of the Visual Studio Cordova Tools team)!
