Hide the MaterialTopTabNavigator from view

Is there a way to hide the react native MaterialTopTabNavigator on the screen while still maintaining the swiping functionality between screens? I want the user to be able to swipe between screens but not see the tab navigator itself.

const Tab = createMaterialTopTabNavigator();

class Home extends React.Component {
  render() {
    return (
      <Tab.Navigator initialRouteName="Screen2" tabBarPosition="bottom">
        <Tab.Screen name="Screen1" component={Screen1} />
        <Tab.Screen name="Screen2" component={Screen2} />
        <Tab.Screen name="Screen3" component={Screen3} />
      </Tab.Navigator>
    );
  }
}

When using Material Top Tabs, you can customize the tabBar by setting it to return an empty View. Check out more details at https://reactnavigation.org/docs/material-top-tab-navigator#tabbar

<Tab.Navigator tabBar={() => <View /> >

This configuration will maintain the swipe functionality you desire while concealing the tabs from view.
